Heart to Heart

One of the greatest things about being a parent is seeing your child with their Grandparents! I have absolutely loved seeing Max interact with all of his Grandparents.

We are very lucky to have Abbie's parents (Bob and Debbie) up here in Edmonton with us to lend a hand and be a shoulder to cry on. They were a great help last time and we are thrilled to have them here again.

My parent's (Forbes and Di) were planning on making the trip from BC to come and be here for some of Max's journey however 2 days before our trip to Edmonton, my dad suffered a small heart attack. Dad has been in the hospital in Vernon (and in Kelowna) until today when he got to go home. We wish very much that we could be in 2 places at once to give my dad the support and love that he deserves. But since we can't, many of you have been praying for both Max and my dad together and I am very thankful for that.

My dad is one of the sweetest and most generous people I have ever known. He will do anything to help those he loves and I know that he is very disappointed that he can't be here to help his Grandson. Max absolutely adores his Grandpa (or Dacca or Gracca as he has been calling him in an effort to say Grandpa!). Max especially loves his Grandpa's moustache! Seeing them together brings a smile to my face and since Grandpa can't be here with Max, I wanted him to know that their hearts are very much connected at this time, today especially. Both Max and Dad received surgery to fix and strengthen their hearts and we are very thankful for this.

These pics are for you Dad/Grandpa. While you are at home recovering, I hope they bring a bunch of joy to your day and make you feel a little bit closer to Max today...
