Morning News!

Max and Abbie had a somewhat restful night while Tata, Papa and I were a little better off at the RMH. Max didn't sleep a lot but was in good spirits.

When I got to the hospital room this morning, he was so cute. He was watching TV, counting to 10 and even playing peek-a-boo which must be a sure sign that's he's feeling a little better! He ate a good breakfast of real food!!! Sometimes there are things at home that are so cute and then you realize that in public, it's kind of weird. Like how Max calls blueberries "babies" and it's totally adorable at home, but in a children's hospital, having your son say that he wants to "eat babies" carries a whole new connotation! And if you know Max, he likes to repeat things and say them louder and louder until he gets them!!! Needless to say, Max got to eat some babies for breakfast! Hilarious.

This morning we have got Max up to weigh him and he got a chest x-ray. Hopefully the x-ray is clear. I think that moving him around too much still causes him a lot of pain. He is super clingy when trying to move him and he seems to be in distress for a few minutes after each move but we are just so thankful that we haven't had a repeat of yesterday!

Our biggest prayer request is that maybe his chest tube will come out today! If that happens, I think that things will get a lot better. Every cardiac patient who can remember their surgery has said that the chest tube is the most painful part. Much more than the surgery site itself.

The hospital wifi is not working today so blog posts may be a bit less frequent until it is fixed, unless it's something urgent. It's somewhat tricky to do them from the iPhone and much more boring because attaching pictures is a pain! Not to mention a million typo's!
