Leaving Comments Clarification

Hello All,

Your comments mean the world to us. They are what will help us to get through the difficult days ahead and we want to make sure that we will get them. Several people have told us that they have left comments on the Blog, however we have only seen/received two comments.

I don't think that posting a comment from your mobile/smart phones is very easy unfortunately as my attempts to do so have not worked. So if you are able to use a PC or Mac computer, here are a few guidelines to make sure that your comments actually find us. Please read all the way to the end because I think that is where we are losing people's comments.

  • To read an update, click on either the title OR on the "read more" link to open that specific update into its own page.
  • At the bottom, there is a section that allows you to "Post a Comment!"
  • After you write your comment, it has several choices under the "Comment As" drop down box which can be confusing.
  • The simplest thing is to select anonymous (at the bottom of the list), but if you select anonymous, please make sure to put your name somewhere in the actual comment so that we know who you are.
  • AFTER clicking "Publish" you are not yet done!!!
  • You must prove that you're not a robot by typing the text/numbers from a picture into a box.
  • Click "Publish" again and then you are done.
If you miss the last step, we will not receive your comments.

I have tried to disable the "prove you're not a robot" thing but unless you are logged into either a Blogger, Google or Gmail account, it is required to comment as an anonymous person.

If you recently posted a comment and it does not appear on the Blog for everyone to see, then something went wrong. They appear almost immediately when done correctly. Please try to send us your comment again or just email us directly at camabbie@gmail.com

I am glad that we are getting all of these details figured out before we get to Edmonton! We are sorry this is turning out to be more complicated than we had hoped.

Feel free to give it a try right now to make sure that it works as we do not want to miss any more comments!!! We leave for Edmonton tomorrow.

Thanks again,

Cam

  1. A few extra steps to post a comment is no big deal if it encorages you in the smallest way. We love you all very much. Grace, Summer and Jackson pray for Max every night and Jackson sings Happy Birthday best buddy anytime we talk about Max. Praying for you every step of the way. Love, Heather

  4. Hope you get this message guys, it's cousin Deb. What's up with the Macdonald heart issues!!! i guess we just have such big, loving hearts that there is more chance that something will happen. I am sure it is just tearing your Dad apart that he is not able to be with you all in Edmonton. But he is where he needs to be and I am sure is getting wonderful care in hospital and at home. So glad that both Uncle Forbes and Max are getting the help they need. You are all in our thoughts and prayers every day as we know how hard it must be to keep going day after day when you are exhausted and worried, and frustrated and confused, etc. etc. Love to you all and hope for a speedy recovery and that you are all back home in your own beds soon. Deb & Vince
